Wedding in Cameo style
What is a "cameo"?
Cameos are jewelry or bas-relief decorations made on precious or semi-precious stones or even on sea shells. Most often, such decoration is an image of a neat female profile. The art of making cameos was first discussed in the 4th century. BC. But such decoration became truly popular only during the Renaissance. Nowadays, cameos serve as a separate decorative element at a wedding, and sometimes you can find a wedding in the Cameo style.
Cameo style decor is appropriate for floral arrangements for a retro wedding as well as a shabby chic wedding. There is an opinion that at a wedding in the Provence style, these sophisticated carved decorations will look much better than rhinestones or satin ribbons.
Cameos will be a wonderful addition to wedding bouquets that contain flowers such as roses, peonies, orchids and hydrangeas. Just add such a decoration to the handle of the bouquet and it instantly takes on a beautiful look and, moreover, sets or emphasizes the theme of the celebration.
Also, a compact carved decoration is perfect for the groom’s formal suit as an unusual boutonniere. Your couple will look amazing and harmonious. A bonus to the beauty of the cameo is that there is no need to monitor the freshness of the mini-bouquet on the groom’s buttonhole all evening.
As you probably already know, the ideal wedding is one where all the elements match each other in style and color. If you start with the cameo idea, you can come up with something much larger than just a wedding bouquet! Here are just a few ideas:

- souvenirs for guests;
- a wedding cake;
- jewelry for the bridesmaids (and even the groomsmen - if, of course, you order something more discreet and brutal for them);
